José el Frances ~ Agua de Esperanza ~ CD
Jose el Frances has a voice some Flamenco singers would kill for- smoky with a bit of rasp- but his repertoire has grown more and more pop-oriented from record to record. It's always decent material, and he always features some more Flamenco collaborations (in this case with Nino Josele and Pirana), but the fundamental tone is one of Flamenco-inflected Spanish radio-pop. Much in the Pepe de Lucia mold.
