Eva Duran ~ Por Tango ~ CD
Eva Duran's new recording is easily the most satisfying fusion of Flamenco and Tango Argentino we have yet heard. The production is remarkably simple: Duran's very Flamenco voice, Josete Ordonez' guitar, cajon and palmas, some upright bass, and the occasional touch of bandoneon, mandolin or lute. A variety of Tangos are all arranged/performed with a strong Flamenco aire, and most of them in Flamenco rhythms. The performances couldn't be more soulful or natural, the repertoire more refreshing in this context, or the fusion so organic....
