Co-founder of the group Ketama, Sorderita wrote and performed on much of the group's most memorable and ground-breaking material, then left to pursue his own muse, and along the way pretty much invented what you might call Flamenco Cool. Drawing on Mi Secreto Pirata, El Disco de la Nina Celeste, and recordings with Toumani Diabate, this compilation features the most intimate and comfortable of Sorderita's solo work. If you haven't yet heard Sorderita, this is the best way in, and worth every step of the trip.
