Toni Iordache ~ Sounds from a Bygone Age vol.4 ~ CD

The fourth in the Sounds from a Bygone Age series, this CD gathers 14 cuts by the master of the tambal, an East European hammered dulcimer. Iordache was a legend in his lifetime, traveled the world as a musical ambassador of socialist Romania, and was later imprisoned for carrying foreign currency. He died in 1988 and is still revered as the greatest tambal player of all time, as one of the most popular wedding musicians ever, and as a major influence on a whole generation of later Gipsy musicians.
