Serge Bouzouki & Paddy Lemercier ~ L'Usage du Luth ~ CD

Two French multi-instrumentalist virtuosos celebrate the wide variety of "lutes" played from Portugal to Armenia through a set of compositions inspired by the traditional musics of these same regions. Various members of the Saz, Bouzouki, Tambour, and Lute families are joined by an abundance of percussion and other supporting acoustic instruments to create a sound that is rhythmic and hypnotic, with dominant flavors of Eastern and Central Europe and the Middle East.
