Amina ~ Algo de Mi ~ CD
Compilation of seventeen of Amina's finest cuts from the 60's and 70's. Amina was one of the most powerful voices of early "pop" Flamenco, and a pioneer in many ways. She was the first to sing Flamenco in Arabic (she was born in Cadiz but raised in Morrocco), and was accompanied in her cante by violin and accordeon as well as guitar. These things, of course, have become commonplace these days, but Amina remains an original, a source.
