Mujeres en el Flamenco features singers Sara Flores, Maria Jimenez, and Miriam Vallejo; accompanied by guitarists Manuel Castilla and Juan Cortes, and percussionist Juan Mateo.Each title in this series consists of a set of performances in a studio tablao by a small group of excellent young performers, most of them based in Barcelona and the sorrounding areas. Most of these artists, while not yet big names themselves, have worked with many of Flamenco's biggest stars. Some volumes feature a dancer, others cante and music. The slipcased package also contains an audio CD of the same program, which makes for good Flamenco listening, and can also be used by dancers looking for "dance-friendly" music to work with.
