Manolo Caracol ~ Centenario de su Nacimiento ~ 2 CDs & Book

Caracol was born in 1909, so this is the year for centenary tributes. This package consists of a hardcover book with two CD's, and is built around Caracol's autobiography as told to Maria Gomez Santos in 1962. The music on the two CD's contains lots of Fandangos and Seguiriyas, but also Fandanguillos, Malagueñas, Media Granainas, Soleares, Bulerias, Bulerias por Solea, Romances, Tanguillos, Tientos, Soleares de Cadiz.... About half are studio recordings from over the years, the rest are live recordings from the Tablao Los Canasteros in 1964, and from the XV Potaje de Utrera in 1971.
