Ochando brings a clean, modern sound to the most classic of toques in this homage to Esteban Sanlucar, Mario Escudero, Manuel Cano, Serranito, Ramon Montoya, Nino Ricardo, and Sabicas. For variety, he's added a Piazzolla Tango done as a guitar duet with Emilio Maya, and Carlos Cano's La Reina del Blus, with Enrique and Estrella Morente. Zapateado, Serrana, Alegrias, Solea, Guajiras, Rondena, Granainas, Farruca.... Nice version of Esteban de Sanlucar's Zapateado, accompanied by Cepillo on cajon and Pablo Martin on double bass, otherwise mostly solo guitar. A refreshing sort of record.
