Jose Antonio Rodriguez ~ La Leyenda ~ CD
Rodriguez evokes and celebrates "The Legend" Carmen Amaya in music he composed for the Centro Andaluz de Danza's program of the same name. This music recalls Manolo Sanlucar's compositions for the stage. Gorgeous flamenco guitar music, supported primarily by flamenco percussion, a bit of cante, all complemented by sweeping orchestral string melodies, some other instrumental touches.... Very classy. Recommended.
