Like on her last recording, La Macanita shows two sides of her musical personality- both equally compelling- on this album. There are some very traditional cantes, sung with great power, and no-frills accompaniment by Parrilla de Jerez; and then there are songs that feature an ensemble consisting of Diego del Morao, Andres el Pajaro, and Charly Cepeda on guitars; Manolo Nieto on bass and Jimmy Gonzalez on drums; and Alvaro Gandul on piano, accordion, and harmonica.
