Roque ~ Moral Flamenca ~ CD

A singer from La Mancha, with a voice and style quite different from what one usually hears these days. His repertoire is a little heavy on Fandangos, but they're interesting Fandangos, and he sings them with authority. Colombianas, Fandangos del Gloria, de Vallejo, de Cepero, and Naturales, Tangos, Seguiriyas, Bambera, Granaina, and Taranta. The guitarists are Rafael Trenas and Antonio Reyes. The Colombianas and Tangos feature extensive instrumentation and production, the rest is pretty straight guitar and cante. Worth a listen.
