Juan Manuel Cañizares ~ Isaac Albeniz ~ CD
For his second solo album, Canizares turned to Albeniz, and adapted two piano sonatas from the composer's Madrid period for Flamenco guitar, producing a fine example of what Albeniz called "Spanish music with a universal accent," though he is more often misquoted as saying "Universal music with a Spanish accent."
