Carmona has to be one of the finest modern Flamenco guitarists anywhere. His toques, while very much in the Paco de Lucia mold, are always tasteful and full of power. On this his fifth record, he pits his guitar against (or rather with) the orchestra in an attempt to give his Flamenco a bigger and broader voice. He is aided and abbetted by the Bulgarian Symphony Orchestra, directed by Dominique Debart; Diego Carrasco, La Macanita, Esperanza Fernandez, Guadiana, Diego Amador, Pepe Luis Carmona, Joaquin Grilo, Tino Di Geraldo, and others. The product of five years of composing, the work, which is more than 45 minutes long, is made up of ten movements in the forms of Bulerias, Alegrias, Solea por Bulerias, Nanas, Guajiras....
