The Tunisian oud master's 2006 release features the same line-up as on his classic Le Pas du Chat Noir: Brahem on oud, Jean-Louis Matinier on accordion, and François Couturier on piano. The three present each dreamy theme, then take turns coming to the fore in an improvisatory interplay that is full of subtlety and finesse. The resulting music is an exquisitely ethereal blend that is at once Arabic, World, and Brahem.
