Combining expert commentary, computer graphics, period imagery, and contemporary re-enactments, this program tells the story of Felipe II's humiliating 1588 naval defeat at the hands of the British. Annoyed by British meddling and a raid on Cadiz, Felipe built up the Armada to take control of the English Channel and invade England. As the weather wasn't to the Spaniards' liking they didn't do as well as they might have.... But it made for a great battle, and still makes for a great story.
