An elderly Spanish man in a Paris hospital waiting to be operated on for a brain tumor rambles on about a certain Rancel, who he insists is in danger. His family, gathered around him, dismisses all this as delirium. But when his youngest son defies the family and investigates his father's leads, he uncovers a secret past life, and facilitates a resolution as joyful as it is tragic. 125 minutes, with Spanish and English audio and subtitles.
