Emil Zrihan ~ Ashkelon ~ CD

The spirit of Al-Andalus shines brightly on this recording. This is Sephardic music from Morocco, Jewish in spirit, Arabic in flavor, with guest Flamenco guitarist Baldi Olier tying it all back to Christian Spain. The music itself is beautiful. Zrihan's powerful melismas would make him the envy of many a Flamenco singer, and he is tastefully supported by oud, accordion, violin, darbouka, and Olier's Flamenco guitar.
