Various Artists ~ Veteranos del Cante en Granada ~ CD
Granada’s Paparanda Festival was organized in 1990 to showcase older singers from that province who had never become professionals, and who performed cantes that had not entered the commercial mainstream, in the hopes of documenting these for future research and posterity. Manuel Avila, Pepe Albayzin, Angel Rodriguez "Chanquete,” and Miguel Burgos "el Cele” are featured. With Jose Carlos Zarate on guitar.
