Djuwel ~ Arabo-Andalusian Music Revisited ~ CD
The ensemble Djuwel is made up of Habib Guerroumi on oud and vocals, Christian Vasseur on guitar, and Jean-Christophe Lannoy on cello. Their repertoire consists of traditional Arabo-Andalusian songs/pieces from the Algerian classical repertoire, and original compositions that meander from comtemplative to rhythmic and lively, and from traditional to more modern and fusiony, all with a strong classical guitar element.
